Divide, CO, was the connecting point between the Colorado Midland Railway and the Midland Terminal Railway, located at milepost 27.4. The station was originally known as Hayden's Divide. It marked the top of the grade for the Colorado Midland as it climbed westward out of Colorado Springs?. Today, the old Colorado Midland station sits to the south of US 24 and east of Colorado Highway 67. The old grades are visible to the south of the US 24 as well. Near the US 24 / Hwy 67 intersection, the large cut where the CM passed through the summit is visible to the northwest. Categories: Locations |
