2011 Week 22: May 29 - Jun 04RGS 74 sits atop Lizard Head Pass at the head of a Rocky Mountain Railroad Club special on 29 May 1949. The previous day, club members had ridden the RGS behind 74 from Ridgway to Telluride. This day, they're working their way in reverse back to Ridgway. Earlier in the day, they had to pull Goose 4 into the clear, as it had stalled, and apparently shortly after arriving at Lizard Head, they had to retrieve Goose 6. The following day, Club members would have their last excursion through the Black Canyon on the last passenger train through the aforementioned chasm.
