A Gyralite refers a form of oscillating signal light made by Pyle-National Corp, which the Rio Grande (amongst other roads) used as a secondary headlight on locomotives. The Rio Grande initially standardized on Mars signal lights, a competitor of the Gyralite, but transitioned in later years.
