D&RGW Alco S2 101 at Alamosa, Colorado on August 17, 1965, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. This locomotive was equipped with dual couplers on this end for switching narrow gauge cars around Alamosa. However, the front end was equipped with a single coupler that could be adjusted in a sliding pocket with a power mechanism to accommodate either gauge.
