Detailed Description:
D&RGW Alco S2 101 at Alamosa, Colorado on August 18, 1965, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. This locomotive was equipped with dual couplers on the rear to permit it to switch the narrow gauge cars in Alamosa. This end had a power operated adjustable coupler which could be raised and lowered in an offset pocket to accommodate either gauge.
