Trailed by Union Pacific hopper loaded with iron ore for CF&I, four Rio Grande units bring train #772 downgrade at Princeton on April 15, 1979. The ore orignated at Comstock Utah, near Cedar City, located in the southern part of Utah.

Eastbound 5385 parallels the Arkansas River as it approaches Vallie siding in March of 1979. The three trailing units, a GP35 and two GP40's have been reduced to B unit status as evidenced by the lack of cab sunshades.
SD45's bracket a GP35 and a GP 40 that are provided the power for the 787 coal empty at Wellsville in March 1979. The train will load at Cameo, Colorado, before making the long return journey to Daniels, MS.
