In December of 1973, five units, led by the 3115 cross S. Boulder Creek just east of Tolland.

Caboose 01476 brings up the rear of X3115W in December of 1973. The curved pile trestle would last for another 30 years until replace by the Union Pacific.

Snow is piling up on the Continental Divide as the 3113 works west at Tolland. A company dragline is first out in the consist.

GP 40-2 3097 leads the 3043, 3045, 3100 and 3089 as they slam over the grade crossing at E Portal with a short, amply powered westbound work extra in September, 1974.

Cab 01482 brings up the rear of work extra 3097W. Judging by the displaced jointed rail and other detritus, it looks like the steel gang has recently been by.

Somewhere in the morning or early mid-day during June of 1974, DRGW 3094 (a GP40-2) leads DRGW 3059 and two other units on a westbound manifest right at the East Portal.
