It should be in good shape, the museum suffered minimal damage in this storm compared to other parts of the area.

From what I could see on the Accurail site, the 36' boxcars were scheduled for August

release but are not yet shown "in stock". If these cars fit the pattern of some of the other

cars, they should indeed have both wood and steel ends and a choice of center sills and

in the case of the Rio Grande cars, they should be straight sills.



I noticed by the way, that the Galveston, Texas museum also has a restored D&RGW 36'

box 63457 with steel ends and the Royal Gorge Route herald. Looks really nice and hopefully

the hurricane didn't destroy it.
