Bowser (originaly Stewart) actually makes a correct 14-panel triple hopper matching the Rio Grande ACF and BSC (not GA) built 2700 cuft cars:

Admittedly they are not as detailed as the Tangent PS-3 2750, but they are the correct length, while the Tangent model is one panel longer, unless you go to the trouble of cutting apart the model to remove one side panel, but the center hopper will also need to be relocated. (I used the process in reverse to model the PS-3 2750 long before Tangent released their model.

By either route you will need decals. San Juan makes a set in HO:

> Tangent has come out with a PS-3 2750 3-bay coal hopper that looks like a good stand-in for Rio Grande's 17000-17499 GA and ACF 14 panel 3-bay hoppers. The Tangent model is of course a PS, and has 15 panels. I would like to use these Tangent models for gypsum or limestone loads in the 1970's. Tangent makes these in a Utah Railway paint scheme. I would convert to Rio Grande.
> Anyone aware of a vendor coming out with the 17000-17499 series hoppers that would dissuade me from going ahead with my conversion? The nice thing about these Tangent models is the fine detail, including wire grab irons. Right now I am using MDC and Bowser 3-bay 12-panel Rio Grande hoppers with molded on grab irons and am looking to upgrade.
