Subject: AW: [DRGW] N scale Decal Help - Flying Rio Grande

I only have Microscale 60-60 (D&RGW Narrow Gauge Steam Locomotives and
Cabooses) where it is white lettering 22mm long / 3mm high and 15mm long /
2mm high - and Microscale 60-96 (Rio Grande Early Hood Diesels W/ Yellow
Stripes Alco RS-3) where it is black lettering on yellow ground, again 22mm
long / 3mm high. Probably similar sizes on other N-scale decals with black

Why not make your own custom decal by taking the desired flying Rio Grande
herald from
or another source on the internet and use photoshop or another program to
get the black lettering as well as the desired size.

Then print it onto Microscale clear Trimfilm with a laser printer (every
laser printer can print black) and secure the print with a coat of
Microscale Liquid Decal Film.

Because Trimfilm does not work well with ink jet printers, you should first
prepare the Trimfilm with a thin overspray (e.g. Testors Dullcoat). This
gives the Trimfilm something to soak into. Then print and secure with a coat
of Microscale Liquid Decal Film.
