Railroad Gazette, June 2, 1905. p183

Arizona & Colorado - Surveys, it is reported, have been completed
by this company for building its proposed road from Durango, Colo., to
a junction with the Southern Pacific, either at Lordsburg, N. Mex., or at
Cochise, Ariz., and work is to be begun within three months. It is
probable that the latter place will be selected as the terminus. The
road will be about 400 miles long, passing through valuable coal lands
in Western Sorocco and Velancia Counties.
